Scrollsaw Penguin Mama

It is only 21 degrees here in Murrells Inlet, SC and a perfect morning to introduce this Penguin Mama!  She is checking on her egg and is 4" X 5 1/2 inches x 1" thickness.  She is a wall placque or she would stand easily on a windowsill or mantle. Wood stain, natural wood and varnish bring out the natural look of the wood. This is a very nice little piece and would look great in a child's room or den. And at a little price, you can't beat it!

Just 12.00 includes postage!  Thanks for looking, please check out my Etsy link in the sidebar for other items and come back soon!

HOME MADE ORNAMENTS

TODAY I AM SHARING some of our home made wooden ornaments and one of my clay ornaments.  My hubby creates these wonderful ornaments with his scroll saw and then we paint them.  They are a beautiful addition to any tree or hanging along the fireplace mantel.  It is hard to part with them after Bill makes them.  So sometimes we sell them and sometimes not - ha!  That is the trouble with home made wood items, you get attached to them after you have lovingly created them with your own two hands.  It is the same when I paint.  I have sold oil paintings only to have to paint the same scene again for my own enjoyment and to hang in my own home.
Cardinal Ornament

I created this small clay elf atop a clay covered ball ornament.  It was baked in the oven to harden it and kept in the attic all through the year.  I was most happy to bring it out again and it makes me smile when I look at his little face.
Thanks for visiting and come again soon!  Don't forget to visit my other two blogsites for more of Christmas.  Links are in my side-bar

New Etsy Shop

Sunday Sun... The sun finally came out after a week of rain and overcast skies!  It is unseasonably cold here in SC, they are even warning of frost on the car mornings!  Ugh!  But not to worry, it is going up in the upper seventies daytime as the week progresses and that is more normal for this time of year.  I have just opened my very first Etsy Shop with just one item posted this morning and lots more to be added.  Please check it out at  http://ohearn67.etsy.com/  an visit often!  Thanks!

Views from our craft display yesterday at the Craft Fair.  Despite the weather we had good attendance and enjoyed the day.
