Crocheted Hats I created and Spiral Scarf

These are some baby bonnets that I crocheted from experimenting without a pattern.  I love the way they came out and I even got a special request for the blue and white one for a baby boy. I will tell you how I did it.
I used simply soft brand yarn that has a sheen to it and then Bernet yarn for the flower and green band.
I started with a 5 crochet chain ring. 2nd row I did 2 single crochet in each chain around.  Then after joining, did 3 rows of double crochet increasing a stitch in the top of every other previous double stitch until the size I thought was sufficient for the top of the hat.
Then I did a row of shell stitch (single crochet,3 double crochet, 1 single crochet, all in one chain stitch of last row.  Skip a stitch and repeat.  Next, I did another row of double crochet using the base of each shell stitch and joined.  I added 5 double crochet rows using the green for the 4th row.  When the 5th row was completed I did a finishing row of shell stitch again to frame the face.  I then crocheted the little flower and sewed to the center of the bonnet.  Ribbons could be added on either side.

BOY BONNET

To finish this one, I crocheted a circle of 3 rows single crochet and added a little embroidered Duck (from craft store) in the middle.

I also finished another beautiful lacy Sashay yarn scarf in shades of orange, rust and red.

These scarves are available in my Etsy Shop (link in sidebar).
Wear indoors or out for a beautiful accent to your sweaters and blouses, so versatile.

Thank you for coming and please leave a comment, it is easy to do and I treasure them :)

TEMPLATE

And here are my hearts as I developed them with materials I had on hand. (Felt, pearls, wooden bird buttons, jewels, a lady's head, tiny bird feathers and the sayings that I typed, printed and cut out with scalloped craft scissors.  I may still add a blanket stitch around the heart edges after all the glue is dry :0)

I have also finished another of the Sashay yarn twirl scarves in blue, luv it!  You can buy from this site or from my Etsy Shop in the sidebar :) $18.00 includes postage and shipping :)
I really love the colors in this one!
Approximately 60 " in length

So soft in shades of blue with silver thread running through the yarn.
My next one will be of an hombre color.  Thank you so much for visiting today and come again soon!
